About Our Philanthropy
Anselma House

Since our founding in 1993, Alpha Omega has proudly supported Anselma House as our primary philanthropic cause. Operated by Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region (WCSWR), Anselma House is a local shelter that provides safe refuge, critical resources, and emotional support for women and children fleeing domestic violence.

Our founders chose Anselma House with a deep commitment to empowering women and uplifting our local community – a tradition that continues to this day. Through annual fundraising events and the support of the Laurier and Greek Life communities, Alpha Omega raises thousands of dollars each year to help sustain the life-saving services WCSWR provides.

From funding music therapy sessions for mothers and children to covering full days of care for women in crisis, every dollar we raise makes a tangible impact. On June 17, 1998, Alpha Omega was honoured to receive an award from Anselma House in recognition of our volunteer and fundraising efforts – a reflection of our lasting dedication to this important cause.

We are proud to stand with Anselma House in creating a safer, stronger community for women.
