Hayley Brennan

President

Hi everyone! For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Hayley Brennan and I’m the president for Alpha Omega for the 2021/2022 school year! I’m a 5th year film studies student, and some of my hobbies include watching movies (especially horror and animated ones), reading manga and napping. I joined Alpha Omega in my first year first semester and have loved this sorority ever since. Being in Alpha Omega has made me feel so empowered, and has given me a great group of amazing women that I have the privilege to call me sisters. I love Alpha Omega with all of my heart, and know my life would have not been the same had I not joined this amazing sorority.

Sonia Berman
Vice President

Hi there! My name is Sonia, a fourth year Heath Science Student with Management Option and a Minor in Chemistry here at Laurier. Additionally, I am on the Laurier Women’s Field Hockey team playing both outdoor and indoor field hockey. I have a love for travelling and learning about different cultures, having visited over 20 countries so far! Other activities I enjoy include canoe camping, reading, swimming and hanging out with friends. Having rushed Alpha Omega during my first year, first semester, this will be my fourth and final year as an active member of the organization. Alpha Omega has provided me with the opportunity to get involved with philanthropies in the Waterloo community as well as meet a wonderful and supportive group of women, it is therefore an honour to be able to serve as Vice President for the 2021/2022 school year. Joining Alpha Omega has been one of the best decisions I made coming into post-secondary, and I cannot wait to continue improving and sharing this experience and organization with sisters and future members!

Sam Maasland

Hello, my name is Sam and I am a third year English major, with a focus on a concentration in creative writing. I rushed Alpha Omega in the fall of my first year, and it has been one of the best experiences in my life, as it’s given me sisters who I can always rely on, as well as opportunities that have allowed me to grow as a person. I’m an outgoing individual, who loves getting to know new people. Getting the opportunity to be our external social chair this year is really exciting for me, as I get to plan a variety of socials with different Greek life organizations. I have met some of my closest friends through socials and I’ve made incredible memories, and I hope to give other girls the same experience that I’ve had this upcoming year.

Alexandrine Gabriel
Publications Chair

Hi, my name is Alex and I am a fourth year Psychology student. I rushed Alpha Omega in the Fall of my third year and consider this to be one of the best decisions I've made since starting my university career! I have a passion for creating imaginative, and aesthetically pleasing content for my makeup page, so naturally I am thrilled to be the publications chair for Alpha Omega Sorority!  As publications chair, it is my job to keep both active and alumnae sisters up to date on everything going on in the sorority. I’m also the one in charge of running all of our social pages and essentially acting as the publicist for Alpha Omega as a whole. I am very excited for my role within the sorority and I am looking forward to this upcoming year.

Stephanie Dang
Treasurer

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I am currently a 3rd year BBA student with a minor in Math and Computer Science. I do journaling and listen to lo-fi music in my free time. Joining Alpha Omega was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I absolutely love having the chance to make connections with my sisters and join in on fun events. Being on the Alpha Omega Executive team and Greek Council is also a great opportunity to develop leadership skills! I can’t wait to bring my ideas and skills to this position and see what this sorority has to offer in the upcoming year.

Grace Gilbert
Standards Chair

Hi! My name is Grace and I’m in my third year of BBA. I am also on the squash team at Laurier, and am members of both LAA and DECA clubs. I rushed AΩ in my first semester of second year as a way to meet new friends and keep busy during the school year. Belonging to a team or a group I can relate to has always been very important to me. By joining AΩ I was able to meet girls who I may have never otherwise met and I’ve been able to create a sense of belonging here at Laurier. AΩ has also given me the leadership opportunities within the sorority but the chance to stand out away from it! AΩ has already changed and shaped who I am in many ways and I can’t wait to be able to bring my ideas to the table here and outside of Alpha Omega. I look forward to seeing my sisters, (current and future) throughout the 2020-2021 school year!!
